Jim and Ginny TenEyck started Jim’s Trophy Room in 1973, right out of their home. What began as a small operation quickly grew into a family-run business built on hard work, creativity, and community relationships.
In the early days, Jim balanced a Wonder Bread route while Ginny ran the shop. As the business grew, it became a full-time family effort.
In the early years, growth came from going directly to the community. Jim would load up samples and visit local bowling leagues, building relationships and earning trust face-to-face.
The TenEycks also traveled to “truck-ins”—large camping events across different states—where they created shirts and custom products on-site. Every opportunity was a chance to expand and serve.
As the shop grew, it became a full family effort. Jim, Ginny, their daughter Lara, an her husband Paul all worked together in the business—learning the craft, serving customers, and building something lasting.
What started in a home evolved into a shared family legacy rooted in hard work and personal service.
After building a house with a showroom in the front, the business continued to grow until moving into its current location around 1985—where it has operated ever since.
Over time, the shop expanded its offerings and became a trusted resource for schools, leagues, and businesses across Southeast Idaho.
In 2000, Paul and Lara Meng—who had worked in the shop for over 15 years—became the owners, continuing the family tradition and raising their own family in the business.
In November 2025, the legacy was passed on once again to Tyson & Raquel Awerkamp and Andy & Jerrika Furrows, who continue to honor the shop’s history while serving a new generation of customers.
